Hi folks,

We are looking to go out to Perth for a month and will be going late December/early January. Is there a good "lower rate" date to fly in this period. Ie, is it cheaper to fly on Boxing Day/new year's eve or New Year's Day?

I appreciate that we're going in peak time but was just wondering if anyone who's done it can offer some advice.

Cheers,

Phil

There are a number of Low Cost Carriers into Perth if you can get to Singapore or Kuala Lumpur.
Emirates and Singapore airlines have the most International flights into Perth.
Garuda, Thai, China Southern, Qatar, Eithad, Cathay Pacific, Malaysian all fly there. Others that could get you there, the long way round, Air Mauritius, South African and Air New Zealand.
Can't help with price but I know what goes where, especially into Perth.

We flew with Malaysia and have to say it was great. You may find them cheaper than the alternatives these days!

Local news says the Emirates A380 will be able to come into Perth from May this year which would be nice. Personally I'd go with someone who goes through Dubai to keep the flight legs equal and bearable - The A380 is a nice plane too.

Singapore not much different to Malaysia in cost and having flown the two, I prefer Singapore.
