Two questions - how long had you been waiting to get that snap, and how many versions do you have...???Moving on, my own Aussie moment, just another picture of a beach...
I took this one several years ago when a strong westerly wind blew sand over the city, right across to the beaches. We woke to an orange sky, everything was covered in sand - this is Manly at about 7.30am
Last July - top of Mount Macedon.
Last September - AFL Grand Final - Lorne: deserted beach
Last Christmas - CFA do the rounds with Santa
These continue to amuse me (taken in the garden - no idea what they were eating - they'd stripped all the apples of the trees a few weeks prior)
Taken in Feb from the cross on Mount Macedon looking south. The dark section is where the Gisborne grassfire went through (ran R to L) on the 9th of Feb.

Never mind Bitcoin, I'm stockpiling sweet potatos to smuggle across the WA border!
Not exactly everyday life but an Aussie moment that will stay with me a long time, sunset on Broome's Cable Beach standing on top of a 2wd sh*tbox (having amazingly managed not to bog it in the soft sand), with a nice glass of bubbles in hand, dressed as Where's Wally. Random, but an awesome moment in a stunning bit of the country.

The guy who's been building that house on the sea wall opposite has been doing so for the last 2 years. Whilst I'm sure it's a lovely spot in a calm summers day, sat outside with the view all around, it must be pretty blustery in the middle of a winter storm!A guy I know lives about 500m to the left, behind that new apartment block that's going up at the moment and he says everything goes rusty all the time, the roof of his Navara, "stainless steel" light fittings, steelwork under plaster in the house etc.
