Were all numb that AFL is back and combining that much redneck meat headed tradie chat combined with the cor blimey you ripper smiling dumb tradie Subway ads in addition to banal driving environment has lulled us all in to a 'just cannot be rsed' coma.
However I did see a Ferrari Testarossa the other day. Which was nice.

I'm sat at home feverishly trying to work out how to avoid the coming shytefest that is the AFL and it's endless priority over real life to the bogans of this fair state. In other news nuclear war devastates 75% of the planet, coming up James Hird vehemently denies that he once sucked a horse off
Ah ah yeah but maaaaaaaaate it's loike fahkin ballet yeah.
Utterly detest the whole sorry spectacle from the braindead fans to the endless dribble of bilge that pervades everything during the season.
Thankfully the roads are quieter during the season so I get to enjoy them just a little more without the mouth breathing mongs that clog them up daily.

You know what the worst aspect is? The endless news, commentary and discussion over nothing - who might play, who might be injured, what a player thinks (which is usually all the same pointless interview), reactions to rumours and on and on.
And guess what - no one at any workplace ever talks about it so its not as if its that 'talked about'.
Ever been to a game? Heard any songs or banter? Thought not. Atmospheres terrible.

Same goes for any Aussie sport. Been to loads of football matches here(Melbourne victory) and there is no menace or real sense of history. Plus everything is so fking sanitised it's beyond banal. Tribunals and fines for looking at a pigeon with intent. FFS.
Luckily for me most of my workmates are English or Irish so we rule the colonials in banter.

I'm lurking but in general I find the Australia section pretty boring. :O
It's generally brits wanting a job or asking how to get their cars across from the UK.
I still go back and read the Scottish section because there's an endless display of supercars and general motoring spirit.
I really wish there was more of that on here but I guess it's difficult when Australia is such a big place and we can't all randomly meet up for a drive out somewhere.
If anyone in Adelaide fancies a run out let me know. 2 or 4 wheels!

To add some car related chat...
I was in Melbourne for the F1 recently. Is it the Merc C63 capital?! They were everywhere! Far more than I see in sleepy old Adelaide. They sound immense. But the best of all was the pace car or whatever it was on track. Estate version and surely had pipes because it was loud!

Perth seems to be the capital of the white Camry or Corolla. Or Hilux. Or anything without any redeemable motoring enthusiasm built in.
However I understand that there are a lot, and I mean a lot, of massively expensive supercars tucked away.
Once chap here has an Enzo FXX and a 599 xx.
It seems wealth in WA doesnt whisper it actually gets locked up in the garage and let out twice a year.
