I have no idea, out of curiousity though, what is available in Australia that would make it worthwhile?

Thinking of visiting friends would like to buy a 70/80 or 100 series cruiser and do a little outback touring
Then ship it back to the UK ...

Can you not buy them in the UK? Cars are expensive here.

I imagine it would be the same as shipping from the UK to here.

£1,800 plus insurance (20' container) or around £1,400 for RORO I think it was.

Well no they imported the 80 series most are getting rusty and if not then expensive ,never got the 75s either utes or troopys!
And the 100 series are more school run spec than off-road with the front IFS , my idea is more to do the touring the outback thing !!would love to do Alice springs to Darwin etc then ship a unusual and useful vehicle back we have hiluxes and other jap utes ...

Further confirming others, i just shipped my morris minor from Auckland NZ, to London England (close enough to Australia distance wise), cost me £2200 total - including all landing documents and shipping the car to and from the port at each end.
