I'm not totally sure, but I think his picture on the wall is the Suderia Veloce Brabham I drove in 68, to second in the Gold Star, behind Kevin Bartlett. I am not sure but those air filter/screens in the picture look familiar. We had to make better ones, as the expanded mesh alloy Brabham had used let too many small rocks, thrown up by the tyres, into the valve gear, leaving huge pits in the valves & seats.
The Mildren "yellow peril" [Brabham Alfa] that KB drove. & the Lotus 32 of Leo Geoghegan both sprouted wings during the year, so I think I was the last driver to win a Bathurst 100 in a wingless car.
What a great way to spend your retirement. I wonder if they let him run it in classic/historic races?

G'day Phil,
It ran at Lakeside a couple of weeks ago and I'm going to have a shot at getting Randall to bring it down to FOSC at Wakefield Park in April.
It was fired up at the Ozclubbies show and shine in October and I suspect that 90% of those who heard it needed a box of tissues IYKWIM :-)
