Rockpool at Burswood (Crown Casino) was brilliant....

4 of us, two expensive bottles of wine and an expensive steak, $800 including tip... superb service too

I had the $120 wagyu steak at Rockpool - not much bigger than an Iphone. And that's $120 for the steak only.

Nice but not $120 nice!

Agreed Rockpool is lovely.

Hippo Creek is decent but meh for meat.

Old Swan Brewery is very nice for steak n stuff.

Brewery / Frasiers / BlueWater / Indianna's - all the same 'chain' and top food.
Hippo Creek - good meat based menu.
Atrium - Buffet, but of the good kind.
C1 - for the view, the food is average.
Tony Roma - for ribs.

That sounds like exactly the place I wasn't after.

BBQ type joints, not Michelin star. Thanks Anyway buddy.

I second Bibbs on Tony Roma's. I wasn't sure what to expect from there to be honest with it being an American chain but the ribs are Devine and just fall apart.

I can also recommend the steak restaurant at the Hilton which isn't too badly priced and comes with free salad, there is a good selection of wines and they have Weihenstephaner hefeweizen on tap as well.

Welcome to Perth, the most overpriced city in the world?
$12 pints, $8 coffees, $600/week rent for an ok house in an average suburb...
