Hi all - have imported my 993 from the UK and am currently unable to 'compliance' my vehicle as a 4-seater. It is currently certified as a 2-seater!

I am advised that the UK-supplied rear lap belts need upgrading to full seat belts and that I require the addition of child tether points. Unfortunately it seems that no-one stocks the necessary parts in Australia (I am in Melbourne) and might need to import parts from Germany.

My car is a cabriolet which makes the fitting more awkward, does anyone have experience of this - perhaps imported a similar car? Any recommendations of specialists or parts suppliers in the Melbourne area?

Cheers, J.

What is your issue with importing the parts yourself?

I would recommend www.sonnenoemporscheparts.com

Also speak to Detlef Specht at Autohaus Engineering, he can most likely help you.

The tether points can be got from Supercheap.

I just bought two and sent them to me FIL so he can put them in his Jag before bringing that over.
