Sandown 500 V8 Supercars

I will be heading off to Sandown on Sunday for the 500 with the kids - wifey not interested.

Anyone know where the best vantage points are? I will be dragging the kids round, so won't be able to my usual circuit perimeter walk to find the best place myself.

How did you go? It was my first Sandown too and for the main races went down to turn 1 looking up to 2 and 3. I enjoyed the F5000s from the grandstand though.

It was good, but to be honest, found the V8 Supercars and utes just a bit dull. Loved the F5000's, the sound was just awesome! Liked the historic touring cars, though it would have been good to have seen a few more Euro saloons (eg RS 2600 Capri, BMW 2002's etc, which apparently were a big part of the races in the day. I was down at the other end of the circuit, some great viewing spots. Good day out and the kids loved it, so smiles all round!
