Slow news day? Insects cause train crash + dwarf is on fire

I really have to laugh some times at the stories that make the headlines here. Yesterday evening the channel 7 news had two "big stories". They were;

Millipedes on the railway line got squashed, leaving a greasy slime behind that prevented the train brakes from working. The result was a walking pace nudge into a stationary train.

AND

Someone set fire to a midget's T-shirt at a party.

Its a worry when there is so much else going on in the world that this kind of thing is seen as a top news story!

The story about the dwarf was actually about AFL players being naughty. Surely you know that means it is more important that anything else?

It even made the news in the UK- made me crack up. I love midgets but I dont like telling them that in case they get big headed!
