Edit - yes i have seen the title error.

Just a bit of fun and add your 50c...

1. When someone says 'I've got a mate in the trade that can help' DOES NOT mean you will get a better price than as if you were any other average Bruce off the street and if intact he will expect cash and for you to pay full whack. service will also be st on the basis you're a 'mate' so who cares when I come round. If said tradie is a mate then this rule is variable and will range from an amazing level of help with carton of beer payment to full on commercial rates and turning up 3 weeks late.

2. Merging. People can't fking merge. Merge here is joining the freeway at the same speed as you and not indicating whilst they expect you to give way and will drive next to you until you brake or move over.

3. People will race to get in front of you and then drive 10km/h below the speed limit.

4. Internet in Perth is ste and expensive. Get used to it.

If someone is moaning about how "crap" and "expensive" the public transport is. They have never left WA.

A pint under $10 must be happy hour.

It's possible to have a spectacular accident on a straight dry road, in daylight, with no traffic, at 62mph.

Car insurance, car maintenance and indicating are all optional.

Most Aussies are lazy, ignorant racists both at home and at work.

You can use the word "wog" without upsetting a black guy.

Royal Mail run one of the best, most economical postal services in the world.

Even though its pouring with rain and there is a sprinkler ban, you should still run your irrigation system, preferably for an hour just to watch the run-off trickle down the drain.

The average Aussie male knows entirely how to carry oneself in a crowded place such as at a music festival or in a busy pub / club. You will rarely hear a raised word against the person that accidentally caused our chap to spill 5ml of beer.

Perth is a fantastic place to live, it's just some of the inhabitants that ruin it.

You can only buy fuel on Wednesdays, and will queue for 30 minutes for the privilege.
I only discovered that 3-4 weeks ago when I went too fill up on a Thursday. I was the only person using a normally busy garage and had to ask the cashier why it was so quiet!

Perhaps it should be explained that you can buy fuel on any day but buy before a Wednesday if you don't want to pay the inflated price of a Thursday. Just wanted to clear up WN's sensationalist headline wink

I did my jet flying training at Pearce in 69.

Perth was a lovely little place then, so I can only assume any problems with the place today is due to what's happened to it since then.

What would that be, except that a bunch of blowins have arrived to take advantage of the mining boom frown

I guess it is now what they/you have made it biggrin

I thin we're all agreed the place itself is lovely - Its just some of the people who are the problem.
