My water tastes like st. Metallic and I believe it's very hard. My last place had an under sink water filter which was great and I'm keen to put one in my new place and think it will sort the issue out.

So, does anyone have any recommendations as to a good company to use to supply/fit a system, or somewhere I can buy a good system and get a plumber mate to fit?

I think so but not sure on quality.

Also wondering if anyone has done it and has tips - i.e. do I just get an under sink filter or worth getting a whole house system?

Cheers John.

Must admit the whole house system is tempting as the shower water smells somewhat chlorinated and am thinking the dishwasher and washing machine are getting caked but its primarily the drinking water that sucks.

Our fridge has one. Makes lfe a little easier.

A guy I know just fits his own. Put it in the line to the kitchen sink with standard fasteners.

But I can't see if I'm cleaner due to the burning sensation in my eyes...

Bathing in vodka again?

I've got a contact who does aircon and refrigeration stuff, and I know he replaces filters for the industrial fridges. Want me to flick him an email?

Scheme water is chlorinated, IIRC at approx 1ppm. Hell of a lot better than the alternative lol but you shouldn't be able to smell it.

I have a filter built in to my fridge water dispenser, but I don't even know what it filters out, wouldn't have thought it could remove chlorine?

That's a good idea - surely they're easy to fit?
