V8s at Barbagallo, Perth

Anyone going? Anyone in a posse? Anyone in hospitality that I can blag/buy my way into?

It's only a couple of weeks away. Haven't seen it for ages, keen to see how the show looks at the new circuit.

I'm in Perth that weekend on a short holiday/fact finding mission but unfortunately won't have time to fit it in!

Ah ok. I work for a software supplier myself is all so just wondered.

Any hints on good places to sit if you're in the cheap seats? Are the grandstands worth the money?

I'm a software developer, and have close ties to their operations team.

It used to be 'the hill', but now they have filled the inner paddock with the garages you can't see the start/finish straight.

I'll be either on the Hill, or at the last corner. All depends where the bus drops us off as I can't be bothered to walk too far. I wouldn't bother with the stands. But that's just me, I'll be half drunk slouched in a camping chair by lunchtime.

Considering emigrating to Perth at the moment, so I'm staying with a friend who recently moved there, plus meeting up with another mate who's been there for 8 years or so. Just a general nose around really, looking at the areas NOR, poping in to the CBD on the Monday for a chat with a couple of companies etc................

Righto.

Well I'm Ive just rented a place in Sorrento, am from Perth originally but spent a few years of my childhood in Bournemouth (dual citizenship), then moved back here until 2005, then moved back to Bournemouth for 8 yrs and worked in London and moved back here again (to Sorrento) about 6 weeks ago. With lots of family in both places.

Running a borrowed 6.0l VE Commodore Ute at the moment too ;-)

I was planning to, but as of now struggling to find anyone else who is going that I know! Its all kids and family events etc at the moment!

Thanks, if I can fit it in I'd definitely be up for meeting up for a beer before I fly back, I'm just trying to line up an interview with the Oz arm of the company I contract to at present, so time is getting tighter, if I can do it, I'll drop you a PM, really appreciate the offer. If all goes to plan I'm hoping to bring my car out so there will be an all black Vauxhall VXR8 with a PH sticker on the back driving around!

Back in the UK now, had a very busy week and couldn't manage to squeeze in a beer this time, but hopefully in the future though!
