I'd like to introduce you all to Frasers in Kings Park:

http://www.frasersrestaurant.com.au/

So far the best restaurant we've found in Perth.

Does anyone else have a suggestion?

Frasers is a part of a group. I've found all the ones I've eaten at to be a very high standard.

Indiana, Cottesloe.
Old Brewery, Perth.
Bluewater Grill, Applecross.

Other places off the top of my head (good and bad) :-

Hippo Creek, Subi. Went last week, good steaks.
C1, Perth. Poor food, awesome location.
Atrium, Burswood. Buffet, but great food.
Buddah Bar, Subi. Average curries, awful service.
Monte Fiore, Mt Lawley. Did great ribs (but they were not on the menu last time we went).
Saffron, Inglewood. Closest to a UK style vindaloo I've had so far.
Chins Noodle House, Leeming. Plastic tables and chairs, awesome food.
Millbrook Winery, Jarrahdale. Great food, and wine tasting.
Core Cider House, Pickering Brook. Great food, and home made cider.

Another here for Indiana's

Plus
Witches Cauldron @ Subiaco
Chianti's ( hope they're still there )

There was another place that I went to but don't know the name of that was like a shed and we sat on benches at long tables, the steak was brilliant.

200 - i think I might have to disagree with you - been to Frasers (i think) 5 times and each and every time ranges from extremely average down to pretty poor. It always seems brightly lit, lacking in atmosphere nice=ish food and ok service but I think the price and location has your expectations raised. For the price I think there are much better.just my opinion.

Rockpool at Burswood - my personal favourite. Service as you would receive eastern states/asian hotels is great and the food was very good - I can recommend the $120 200grm Wagyu Rump (thank fk work was paying!).

C-Restaurant is ok, better than before but slightly above average food. I do recommend taking guests from the UK there for early dinner - get there 40 minutes before sunset and its pretty impressive as it rotates and sundowns.

Halo (nr lucky shag/belltower) - always been nice - quite relaxed and with the windows open over the river have really enjoyed it.

Amuse (east perth) - not been but the degustation I have heard from a few is sensational.

Coco's - food is nice, service hit and miss. The trueblue locals seem to have mixed views as I think it disappeared up its own arse a few years ago but I always liked it. Sit on the balcony in summer and you have a world class view at night. lovely.

Phi Yen vietnamese - Northbridge (but more North Perth) - fab, busy Vietnamese. Really nice.

Raffles - pizza night (wednesdays?) - good pizzas but very busy. book in.

Umberto Tinellis restaurants - JoJo's cafe (nedlands) and Acqua Viva - Perths best restauranteur - anything he does is simply fantastic. Not too expensive but the service is very good and a very genuine eating experience.

Balthazar (Perth CBD) - really cooky, nice tapas, spanish type food. pricy but really enjoyable with a few people.

On a cheap basis:
Toppolinis (warwick cinemas) - now its a ste setting, but for a cheap $15 pasta special its really very tasty. Also on a side note i live 2kms for Event Cinemas Innaloo and always go to Grand Warwick - its an older cinema but generally empty, good legroom and use the Grand Card $11 tickets and importantly sit where you want. Parkings always a piece of piss under the building too.

Botanica (innaloo) - $15 steak night on Thursday - really good, booking essentials and its a good bar - very different from the normal out of perth cbd bar.

Cafe Relish - cheap but good food - scarborough beach rd, doubleview.

Mille Cafe - general family italian fare but always had a nice meal.

Morris Place Chinese Takeaway - back of the saint pub in innaloo - bloody outstanding chinese takeaway and can thoroughly recommend the Beef satay!

Enex 100 Food Court, Hay St, Perth city - I work above it and the food court is perths best. If youre out shopping eat there - much much nicer than any other in the city.

On a side note - dont go to that bloody chinese dim sum restaurant in Northbridge. Everyone raves about the sunday morning dim sum feast but fk me i have never hated a restaurant with a greater passion. first of all people queue out the door and takes a while to get in. when you get in they push trolleys round with all this food - half of it suitable for a chinese peasant and the other half solely pork or prawn dim sums. Now, if you like only pork or prawn thats ok but theres no chicken or beef options and they literally offer time after time the same 5 dishes, there is no price guiding so when you've eaten the same average, cold pork or prawn dim sum you've spent $30 before you know it. Want any form of drink or service? forget it. I hate it as its hyped to hell and the reality is really quite poor. ste.

Hello 200bhp. I went to Opus a couple of months ago. Disappointing for the price tag in my opinion. Very 'classic' fine dining, including foie grois on around three of the eight dishes on the degustation. No issue with that, just pointing out the style. Amuse in East Perth was much better all round for a similar price.

Away from fine dining, another vote for the Atrium buffet at Burswood. Ring ahead as you sometimes struggle to get in. Hippo Creek at Subiaco is excellent, and much better than its sister restaurant at Hilary's.

But my hidden gem is Lanna, a Thai place in Subiaco (same complex as Hippo Creek). Beautiful food and great value. And just thinking, the Brazilian joint next door; Lapa is pretty good too for any meat fanatics. All you can eat for about fifty bucks if I remember correctly.

All of the above are included in the Entertainment book so expect a 25% discount if you are armed with the card.

Han Palace (East Perth) nice chnese with huge portions.

Both in the gold book.
