Sydney Run - March
Discussion
All right. It's been too long.
Thanks to a prompting phone call from TVP 993 lets get together again.
It's been a bit too long between runs so lets do it.
TVP - need to see the new Porsche
Bob - Don't you dare bring the Up
Google - Where have you been?
Custard - Need to see the Fezza
New People - come along.
Saturday/Sunday the 9th/10th of March work for people?
Meet at Lodge St Hornsby, next to the Bowling Club and head down the Galston Gorge, across the ferry then up to Wollombi. Then on to the vineyards?

Sounds good, just been checking over progress with Cremorne Prestige and should have the TVR back on Friday.
They always seem to have a few TVRs in (Chims and older mainly) - anyone here?
That weekend is the Top Gear festival, so will go on the other day that this isn't (if that makes sense) - anyone else going?

Well... I've been around but been very busy. I'm really keen for a run but I'm nervous about the car's health. I may be worrying about nothing, but I'm not rich enough at this point to find out for sure, so I'm kinda in limbo. If I feel lucky I'll bring it, if I don't I might leave it at the meeting point and car hop for the main run if that would be ok with folk.Colonial said:

Works for me at this point. Will extend the invite to ol' 964 John too a bit closer to the time once we see how many heads we're likely to have.Meet at Lodge St Hornsby, next to the Bowling Club and head down the Galston Gorge, across the ferry then up to Wollombi. Then on to the vineyards?

I had a semi-intention of going but don't know if I'll end up there. My mate who I was going to go with is on holiday for a couple of weeks so won't know until probably when the tickets are sold out.Colonial said:

Be great to catch up with everyone.
If you don't mind me tagging along in a starship mileage Avalon, would be great to meet up.
It will take a while before I can bring myself to buy something decent here since I still (I know I should not) think what I could get in the uk.
A new Camry presara? My good man, that is a used f360 back in the uk....or a low mileage ls600hl....or an s65l and change!

I recently drove the 33 just off the 1, it's a great route, loads of twists and turns with great scenery and you can stop at Woollombi for coffee/ lunch or push on to Broke and stop somewhere in pokolbin. We stopped at Keith Tullochs which did a great feed if a tad exy.
Just puttin it out there......

Yeah, that's what I was looking at. Basically go down to Wisemans, then up to Central Mangrove then down to Wollombi. Just puttin it out there......
Wollombi pub is cheap and cheerful. Quite a few decent pubs in Cessnock as well if people are feeling cheap.

Like this place. Start and finish of a 75km mtb race in Sept (Fathers Day, actually, so I usually treat myself...) Live band in the back yard, and generally a sense of having a good time. Usually have a gentle blast back to the F3 once I've got my legs back - great way to finish!Settlers Arms at St Albans is also base for a big mtb race - hmm, pattern, perhaps???
As usual, count me out for weekend daytime stuff, though might be able to meet one or two of you for an early morning blat on your way up to Hornsby - just need to miss the roadies
