Looking for a set of decent road performance tyres. Dry grip, ride and noise & price would be the priority.

Anyone got any recommendations on type and where to buy from?

Out of interest I recently got some Pirelli Scorpion AT tyres from a local Knob Janes and they price matched an eBay price about a third cheaper!! They must make some mark up!

I'm a fan of Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetrical 2, if you can get them here.

Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 or their new replacement the Pilot Super Sport are widely regarded as the best road going tyre. For dearer tyres I'd buy off Camskill.co.uk and import, it still works out cheaper.

I have these. Fitted about 3 months ago. Brilliant tyre.

Check out tirerack.com as well. American site, but they do a lot of shipping to Australia. Some brands are kicking up a stink however.

What's shipping/customs like? Assume USA FTA means no duty but 10% GST?

I have continentals on the 911 and Goodyear's 'Eagle' (cant remember exact name but dont think its F1) on the TVR/ Lotus. I dont think there is a huge difference in the 'premium' tyres from my experiences, its more about having the correct tyre pressures.
