She's not going anywhere at the moment. The old TRX (metric) tyres mean are in such a bad state I can't get her engineered yet. On the plus side I've got loverly set of 348 wheels on their way from the US which are a straight swap.

So should be good to go in a couple of weeks.

I'll drop an update of costs and issues on the main import thread when everythings sorted but suffice to say without your help I'd be a much poorer and more stressed bloke.

Today is the first time I've cleaned a car by hand since coming to Oz 3 years ago.
Bloody eck it cost a small fortune buying all the kit again!
Strangely looking forward to it though smile

That's one thing I've not noticed here, people washing their own cars - maybe I don't live far enough into suburbia to notice?

Cousins and my neighbours all think I'm strange for washing my car..seems to me that the only people who do are taxi drivers smile

Just spent the best part of two days doing it - I really wont be doing that again in a hurry.

Having said that, there aren't too many options round here. The Crystal Car Wash at the bottom of the road (Edgecliff/Rushcutters) wanted $220 for a interior/exterior clean!!!!!!!!!!!!

The nearest half decent self carwash is 20mins drive away and that's fine for the Pajero but I'm not taking the Mondial near it.

On the plus side, every man and there dog in our apartment block stopped by for a chat so I got to make a few friends. Normally round here people pass you with their heads down or a thousand yard stare.

I wash mine every two weeks, I really recommend California Gold Canuaba wax for the Aussie weather. Only need to apply every 4 months or so and does wonders to the paintwork -especially RED which is prone to fade here.

Dont really care what anyone else thinks- its a good workout washing and waxing three cars on the bounce!

That is one thing i really miss about home as sad as it may be but giving the car the weekly wash, every few months getting the clay bar out and giving it a good clean frown

Perfect weather over here for viewing your results out in the sun too.
