Is this typical summer weather?

Since I arrived in December, it doesn't really seem to have been brilliant weather - the weekdays haven't been too bad, but almost every weekend has been a bit dull!

Yep.

Home and Away isn't a documentary.

Been watching it from my office, quite a good view of the rain showers moving across the sky!

The TVR meetup has now been postponed twice in a row due to weather, hopefully third time lucky!

Just as well you're not further north, near Brisbane Mattt, or you would really be unhappy.

Over 13 inches of rain to 9.00 AM Sunday, 9 inches Saturday & 24 hours. Still flooded in, with no power since Saturday morning. Running on generator, but had to shut the big one driving the fridge & freezer down as I was going to run out of fuel.

Now just running a little Honda S600, which will run TV computer a light & a fan. Currently 34C, with water lying everywhere giving over 70% humidity. Should have access to supplies later today, with luck, but power is any one's guess.

Of course in a couple of months we will have bright sunny days, with low 20C days for about 6 months. You could say we will be well compensated.

I was living/working in Sydney over last summer, and it rained pretty much ALL Nov/Dec/Jan/Feb, the only bonus was that it was beautiful weather on xmas day.

Something I found there, and as well living in Melbourne for a while, it's regularly cloudy/raining in the city, but drive out to the beaches a few km away and it's beautiful smile

Small exaggeration methinks, the cricket season in my area ( Sutherland Shire ) last from September to March and we lost two days to rain, one in each half of the season.

This year we've lost about 30 minutes so far.

Still been either too hot or too wet to get the clubbie (7) out as often as I would like since mid December.

I agree, lived in Melbourne, Perth, Yulara, Sydney and Sunshine Coast. Perth by far the best weather.

yikes That doesn't sound like any fun - hope it gets better soon. Saw lots of footage of flooding, again - doesn't seem like two years since the last one.

We have had a fair bit of rain haven't we... last year we had a wet Spring and mixed summer.

Atleast it will continue to be nice for a few months and winter will be its usual mild self.

Looking forward to a few more beach/boat days before it starts to cool down though.

stop stealing all our water - its the driest wet season on record up here - we need the water to cool it off a bit. My pool is getting over used this week
