Can anyone recommend an insurance co that is willing to insure my Cerbera 4.5?

I have long dreamed of owning a TVR Cerbera. I have travelled from Australia to the UK to do just that but now I am finding it extremely difficult to get insurance so I can actually drive it. I am only in the UK for three weeks with an international licence. I have no problem with the road rules and have been driving a hire vehicle here for the past 6weeks without issue.
The problem seems to be that no one is willing to insure the Cerbera

I had exactly the same problem in June 2012 when I traveled back from NZ to UK for a 6 week visit and bought my TVR T350C, I wanted to insure it for the remaining 3 weeks while I was in the UK before exporting it to NZ, almost EVERY insurance company refused me because i'm no longer classed as a UK resident despite still being a UK citizen, having a UK passport, a UK driving license and living in the UK all my life up to being 24 when I left in 2007...

I was able to get short-term (28 days) insurance through Aviva but this came at a huge cost - 809 GBP, I only required 9 days insurance in the end as I shipped my TVR early and got about 490 GBP back...

MSM and Manning were among the UK companies who refused me temporary insurance back in June - things might have changed in the last 6 months though...

I used Dawes for the Sagaris in Sydney from 2007-2011, I thought they were excellent and unlike Shannons they don't insist on converting to a NSW licence.

I use Shannons for the first 2 years on the Tuscan before I got a NSW licence. I did have a NSW customer number though.

just dont plan on shipping it back to Aus, wont happen, sold my Cerb after trying for six months to get approval.

The only way is as a personal import which isnt an option to Australian residents and citizens if you live here.
