Mortgage on a 457visa

I've found a house I'd like to buy and although our perminent residency application has just been lodged we are effectively still on a 457.

Anyone had a mortgage approved on a 457?

Not me personally, but a mate of mine did about 4 or 5 years ago.
As far as I can remember, you need 20% deposit and some sort of form from the Foreign Investment Beureau,
