Anyone in Perth with spare furniture?

A cheeky request I know, but our container doesn't turn up until the end of October and we need some things before then.

My wife is planning a trip around the area on large item rubbish day but I was wondering if anyone here can help?

Looking for:

TV - can be an old crt as long as it works.
Dining table and 2 chairs.
Double bed frame.
Sofa.
Microwave.
Fridge.

Other than the side of the road where else can I look for peoples old junk?

You'll pick that stuff up cheap as chips at St Vinnies or the Salvos and then simply donate it back when your stuff turns up.

It'll make you feel like you've done your first good deed in Oz

If you get desporate I can lend you a sofa that folds out to a small double bed, it is in our spare room at the moment and doesn't get used.

Also have a small TV you could borrow, it has a UK plug but an adaptor would sort that.

Let me know, BTW I cannot deliver and the sofa bed is quite large / heavy.

Might be able to help with a fridge as long as it is only short term

Bugger, I just got rid of a dining suite a couple of weeks ago, tried to give it away on PSB but ended up giving it to my Mum's church market.

Hi All.

Thanks for getting back to me on this. Its been a while since I last looked on here and in the mean time, the wife has found the "freebies" section on Gumtree.

We've got a 3 piece suite, a single sofa, queen bed frame and a fridge sorted.

We went to collect the fridge from a couple who were moving back to Estonia. We told them why we needed it and they promptly gave us the contents of their kitchen cupboards - Plates, cutlery, glasses etc.

Thanks for the offers but hopefully we're sorted now. We've not picked up a TV yet but there are several locally in the freebies.
