Aircon warm on a 2 yr old car - re-gas or broken?

Earlier today, after a 20 minute journey with all ok stopped at a house with the engine running, wife in the car. I got out of the car for 10 minutes and when I got back in wife says that the Aircon stopped blowing cold. Sure enough since then it's just blowing warm, not even mildly cool air.

The car is 2 years old/33000 KM's and this doesn't seem like a simple re-gas but an actual leak.

I understood its a sealed system so a regas isn't even a real issue over age but indicates a problem.

For information the air con runs every day so never off. It's under warranty so will be in touch with the dealer on Monday.

So re-gas or problem?

Same thing happened to my R8. Simply a failed unit - replaced the whole unit under warranty.

When one of mine failed to cool, the problem was with the wiring of the compressor clutch.

Cheap & quick to fix, once found.
