Hi all,

I have just had the pleasure of taking a Healey over the pits.

Failed on, no wing mirror ( its never had one)
Bonnet holes ( the sporty bonnet a 1954 option) so I need to fill them in.
Ride height, minimum is 100mm. It's a Sydney built car, it hasn't changed!

So, any recommendations on how to pass the next pit inspection?
(Or to increase the ride height of a healey by 15mm!)

Thanks

I take it you have met my " RMS mates " Bruce & Anthony & Patrick then furious

If the car is all original it should only have to comply with the relevant ADR's of the day which would have been very few if any.

I would be getting some info from the Healey club that supports the trim options that you have and for the ride height I'd be looking at buying a cheap set of higher profile tyres and pumping them up as hard as allowed by the manufacturer ( at least 40psi ).

I know that at least one Birkin has gone through recently and they have bonnet louvers aplenty.

Maybe an email to Duncan Gay complaining about their attitude might help because he along with Andrew Stoner was at the ACMC meeting at Eastern Creek and said things would be better for us in future, an email to Dan Leavey or Ken Cleary at the RMS wouldn't do any harm either.

I'd rather keep all my opinions and comments on the process under wraps until after all this is over..

I've had a hectic week travelling, so the search on information and alterations is now on.

fingers crossed!
