Sat on the bus coming home this evening, idlly browsing Carsales and came across a 1986 E28 M535i for sale in Sydney. It's up for $6900 with 11 months rego, metallic blue with cream leather - talk me out of it! I'll need to sell the MX5 to buy it.

I'd post a link but I'm crap with the phone - it's the only M535 on the website

Thanks for the help biggrin

Had a look this afternoon - not a great example and not running right, all panels straight and rust-free though and interior in reasonable nick. Limited history, replacement engine and just a sense that all was not quite right put me off.

Got me thinking though...

That's a shame, wheels apart looked decent but then is it priced accordingly? All that glitters hey?...
