Just picked up a 35kg 2nd hand diff in the UK (diff is not available in Australia/US).

Anyone got any tips on realisticly priced shipping to Sydney? Not in any real hurry..just want to may sure it arrives undamaged.

Assume the diff needs to drained and clean from dirt.

TIA

cleaned from dirt yes, but dont think it needs to be drained. i had a integra type r diff centre for the hillclimber imported (ebay japan) and that came in with the caster oil all over it for rust protection.

having said that - no point shiping a couple of KG's of used oil in!

small timber crate, send by ship, much cheaper...give steve a ring he may be able to point you in the right direction.
