For very important reasons that will become clear in coming days it has been decided that it is time for a Putty Road Run.

September 3.

Meet at the usual spot in Hornsby in the morning, Galston Gorge, Putty Rd, lunch in the Hunter.

I'll post up more details in the coming days.

Matt - You have the new car yet?
John - if you are still around gotta come for this run
Bob - we want the Tiv. And we want to welcome Vanessa back.
Thang - Yep, you know you want to do this run
Stuart - Bring the Vienta it'll be...fun. Or maybe rent something more intersting?
Rob - excellent run and fingers crossed for good weather.
Anyone else - more than welcome!

I am jealous, here in Qld, that is a fantastic bit or road.

I was over it south & north bound last winter in the 4.6L 300+ BHP TR8.

Do be careful in the shaded corners, if it's very cold. On a beautiful clear sunny day, I still found patches of frosted dew up to about 9.00 AM.

We don't have anything quite as good around here, most of our twisty mountain roads are quite a bit slower, with too many hairpins to be as much fun as the Putty road.

Get in! cool

My car saga is now a full blown imitation of my attempts to chat up girls (many moons ago) ie. Long, boring and ultimately ending up with nothing frown

Still, i have the rock n rolla to thrash the t*ts off biggrin

Told you I wouldn't be able to help myself!

Not that this is any benefit to anyone else, but my Dad will be coming too - I've not seen him for quite a few years and it'll be nice to show him how the other half live wink

Going by your staring off into the distance and giggling to yourself on Saturday at lunch I'm not surprised. Like a 14 year old girl who just got asked out on her first date.

Got a few ideas for stuff for your dad. I'll email you later today.

I'd be keen to come along - although likely as a passenger if one of you has a space, not sure I'll have bought something by then.

The girlfriend might be coming over from New Zealand that weekend though, so that may rule it out. I'll keep an eye on this thread and let you know!

That's not true. I was staring at blank spaces giggling imagining how my car would look sitting there smile And quit it with the girlie hair quips tongue out

Mr. Stirling you can take over my role of 'PHer without a car worth taking'. You're more than welcome to kick my Dad into one of the others and come in the 924 for a stretch, or shoehorn yourself into the back.

Jeeze - you got a dodgy one. Your Porsche appears to have lost half the cylinders already tongue out

Nikki sent you an email to hotmail account with some more details.

Stu, Can we do a swap at some time. I will take a passenger in the porker and leave Ness with TIV.

Other swaps are available.

I would LOVE to be Nessa's passenger! biggrin

Stuart's Porsche is just a dodgy 924. Don't get too excited.

We're working on an itinerary. Let us know if there is anywhere you particularly want to visit in the Hunter Valley.

And by the way, OHAI!

So what's the plan for lunch ? Wollombi Tavern, Wyndhams Winery, Site office at Hermitage Road or the project office for the Hunter Expressway ? Are we stopping at the chocolate factory and the smelly cheese shop this time ?

I missed the last meet because I was out of town. I'm back in the UK at the moment and jetlagged as you can see (4.24 am and have been up since 3am!). Anyway I'm not back until Sunday 4th.

Please please please can we move this meet until the 10th??????
