Hi folks, just booked my tickets for the Melbourne GP next year, i`m in the Schumaker stand, but would like to get into the paddock/pits, anyone know the best way of doing this, buy in advance, or on the day ?

I have know idear how to get into the pit area, you should be able to get a bit closer to the pit area with the stand tickets than what the general admission will let you but there is then another pass that is required to get into the very inner padock - I dont know how you get one of thoes. Other option would be to become a Flag marshal

No can do I dont think. Certainly didnt see anything like that last year (ie 2011) when I was there. You can get close to the V8 garages, but to get the F1 pits was a totally different area and well cordoned off.

from past experience you need some well connected mates that are in sales / marketing that have spare hospitality tickets, paddock club is a very well guarded area, Bernie does not like the great unwashed getting in there!
