MODS: PLEASE leave this where it is. The car is for sale in Perth, Western Australia so would be no good moved elsewhere.

Hi guys,

I am selling my NA8 turbo trackday car.

1997 NA8 Limited Edition 'LE'

Car is a trackday car. The body is rust free and in okay condition, there is a crack a couple of inches long on the bottom of the front bar and there is the odd knock and dent befitting the age of the car and the life it lives.

Roof is in good nick but the plastic rear window is a bit cloudy.

The car has:

AVO turbo kit with plumb back blow off valve
Big injectors
Not sure on the size...Aftermarket exhaust system, actually very quiet
Intercooler
Oil cooler
Cooling Pro 42mm radiator
M-Tuned cooling re-route
Carbon fibre intake pod
Haltech stand alone ECU tuned by GTI Motorsport.....212BHP at the wheels and over 300NM torque, 10PSI boost
JIC Coilovers
Tarox 10 pot brakes on the front.....Yes I did say 10 pot!!! These brakes would cost you an easy $5000 at current exchange rates. Pads are $100-$150 depending on what you want (road / track), due to the size of the brakes fade and wear are not an issue. The pads in there are QFM A1RM trackday pads and will last many events yet. I have 2 spare sets of road pads which you could use on track.
Wilwood 1 inch master cylinder, brake pedal feels like stock and is very easy to control. The brakes are not snatchy.
Brown Davies roll bar
Sparco Sprint V in the drivers side mounted to the stock sliders
Willans 3 inch harness...I actually have 2 sets of harnesses to go with the car. Their tags expired last year however they are in as new condition and CAMS will allow harnesses to be used up to 5 years after the tag date as long as the condition is good.
Oil temperature gauge
Shift light running from the Haltech ECU, just plug your computer in to program when the lights (Yellow and Red) come on
Aftermarket clutch....unsure of brand but no slip
Aftermarket LSD...unsure on the brand but locks up like a KAAZ or Cusco style LSD

2 sets of wheels with the car. If I remember rightly they are 16 X 7.5. One set has good (almost new, have seen track time) Bridgestone Adrenalines and the other set has good (2 or 3 trackdays and a sprint or two) Toyo R1R's.

On the Toyo R1R's and in my amateur hands the car will do 60 seconds on the Barbagallo short circuit, those in the know reckon that I should be able to do low 59's. I have never been timed on the long circuit but this car will do 160KMH+ on the run up to Kolbe and will do 190KMH+ on the long straight.

The interior has been stripped out....AC has been removed and sold on but the rest of the interior parts (stereo, plastic trim etc) are in the shed so you could screw it all back in if you wanted to. The carpet is not much good though.

Car is not encumbered with finance and has rego until 18th September 2011.

Car can be viewed in the Rockingham area after hours / weekends or I can bring it to the Bibra Lake area during work hours however I expect you to honor your promise to come and look at the car.

Second set of rims and interior parts MUST go with the car. I will not split or break the car or parts for it.

Will take more pictures on request.

Reason for sale: Another car has become available that I want to buy.

I think I have all the details on here...feel free to ask if it looks like I have not.

Price: $12,000 ONO

Good luck with the sale James.

I'd buy it myself if I could and would confirm that when i saw it in action the car is pretty quick and at that price a bargain.

Stainless exhaust system: $816
Supply & fit turbo kit: $7403
Supply and fit LSD: $1200
Supply, fit and set up coilovers: $2500
Oil temp gauge supply & install: $130

Cooling Pro radiator: $300
Cooling re-route: $400
Wilwood master cylinder & fitting: $500
Trackday pads: $135

There are other items that I do not know the cost of...wheels and clutch.

No joke, this IS what it costs to build a turbo MX5 that handles and stops well.
