Good morning fellow poms smile

I'm off back to the uk for a family visit in a week, would love to get my mi16 205 gti back on the road for the month I'm back but conventional day/temp insurance seems to be super expensive.

I think I remember hearing that some people buy a year long policy with 30 day cooling off period, use it, then back out before first payment hits.

Has anyone else done this? Who with?

What do you tend to do?

Want to avoid a stbox hire car if at all possible, and I miss my 205 smile

I just take out a policy and cancel within the 2 week cooling off period. Done it the last 3 times I was back, sure someone is going to catch on eventually!
