Putting stripe decals on a car

Im going to paint a car i've restored soon,im doing it pearl white with two black stripes round down the centre of the car.Now i know the base coat is usually put on then about 20-25 minutes later the lacquer would be added,but what do i do about putting on the stripes if i want the stripes lacquered over?Do i just leave the pearl basecoat to completely dry,then add the stripes,then lacquer the whole lot?
