Windscreen wiper scratches

Yesterday the wiper blade spoiler broke off at one end and was dragging on the windscreen as the wipers swung. By the time I got to work and pulled the rest of it off, there were some nasty looking arc shaped scratches in the screen.

Anyone recommend a good product to polish it out?

Haven't used it myself, but Frost Auto Retsoration Techniques do a windscreen polishing kit. Other PHers have used local windscreen specialists.

Think success depends on how deep the scratches are.

I had a similar thing happen to me, I went to my local windsreen repairer and he changed the screen on my insurance - I just paid the glass excess.
