Good paint shops in Surrey / North Hampshire area
Discussion
Hi out there !
Does anyone know of, or have experience of, good paintshops ( that can handle Porsches ) in Guildford / Farnborough areas ?? Got some light rust developing on rear wheelarches of my 993 which need sorting and although my local Non OPC Porsche dealer can do it, all they will do is sub it out and put on their margin. I need someone who will spray both rear qsides of the car, removing rear side windows to ensure a good finish.
Suggestions appreciated !

Just remembered this, and thought I'd report in. Had my Audi done at Shalford Coachworks - bad knock to the passenger door and sundry scratches and dings. They've put it all back to rights very nicely and at a very competitive price. I am certain they didn't charge me for all the work they did, and I am a very happy bunny!
When my girlfiend had her car bumped she arranged to meet at the local Merc dealership for a quote and a guy from the sub-contractor body shop that they farm it out to turned up and did the quote there and then.
So I would suggest you do the same and just ask which garage he's from and go direct. If the dealer won't let you, then just ask em directly who they use. He can't lie now can he ?
If the body shop are good enough for a main dealer then they should be OK .. and cheaper cos you cut the dealer out.

Billy, of course you are correct in what you say, but the starter of this thread wanted advice on which bodyshops to consider, and all any of us can do is relay our own personal experience good or bad. It is naive of blakbetti to assume that he / she knows it all.
