Had a front end respray done by the local Porsche approved bodyshop, to get rid of an army of stone chips. How long should the paint be left before doing a complete zymol wax?

Has anyone had a professional job done around Bristol? If so how much and were you happy with the job?

Hi Darren,

Was that Brin Jones by any chance? If it is I have zymol'd their paintwork soon after the work has been done.

Yes the respray was done at Brin Jones. They also stripped and repainted the alloys as the paint was bubbling up and literally falling off!

I would double check with them, but I seam to recall asking them the same question after having a front bumper re-done and was told there was no need to wait.

Excellent. I'll give them a call in the morning. Ideally I want to get the car done some time before Eurohoon next month.

Are you doing it or are you going to get them to do it? I remember them giving me a price for it to be done and it wasn't too bad (the sort of thing you would do once a year).

I picked the car up from them a few weeks ago and it looked fully polished up, looked like it did in the showroom 4 years ago. Not sure what they used though. I'll speak to them and find out what polish they used and get details of what zymolling service(s) they offer.

thanks

Thanks Simon.

I've spoken to the place which did the paintwork and as Catherine mentioned they offer a Zymol service. On the basis they are local and won't have to factor in transport and travelling costs etc, I'll probably give them a go first. If the weekend after next is not too hot or raining I may well get my hands dirty!
