I have an Alfa 146 (see my cars) and the previous owner has obviously jacked the car up on the front floor panel both sides!! I thought it was a quirky alfa thing before I bought the car, but after inspection the floor panel is now convex!

Just wondering how it can be sorted out really? I was thinking of getting a large lump hammer and some wood and just battering it down

Why not just leave it where it is?

Yes, I have managed for almost 2 years but thought I might aswell sort it now I have a bit of time.

I might have a go with a sledge hammer and block of wood... nothing lost I suppose.

This was more of a recommendation rather than a suggestion.
If the floor is bent then bending it back will only make it weaker. leave well alone if you can.

I am a Mech Eng student and know a bit about Metallurgy and can't see how it will cause any problems... but I see in your profile you work in Mech Eng I might just leave it anyway it's more annoying than anything.
