fibreglass repairs and painting
Discussion
Hi,
When repairing fibreglass, I've always just sanded to key the surface prior to filling. I don't see that there would be much benefit in etch priming a surface beforehand. When painting the surface afterwards, you would want to etch prime though, especially for the areas where you blend the repair onto the fibreglass (assuming it's a spot repair) normal primer just won't adhere as well to the fibreglass.
Hope this helps,
Darren.
