Is there definitely no paint damage? Small blisters etc would not show up in the pic at the resolution I can see on my screen.

That can be done as long as it’s the original factory paint because it will need a good few glue pulls to get it moving before finishing with bars. A decent dent man will want a couple of hundred quid though.

My wife's MINI had a bigger dent than that sorted by PDR. My only concern is that it looks deepest close to the edge of the panel and almost a crease. I'd certainly be exploring options with good PDR guys with a proven track record. Ask good bodyshops locally who they use as it's not usually an in-house skill for them.

IME body shops tend to favour you having repairs in the body shop!

I’ve had many a car invisibly repaired after a body shop insisted that it could only be repaired properly by them. Both smart repair and PDR.

My point was that bodyshops tend (in my experience) to only do repair or replace / fill / paint / blend type of paint and bodywork. They then employ the services of local PDR guys who are usually 'man in a van' self employed who solely do PDR work. The bodyshops know who are the best at that skill locally and can possibly provide a recommendation. There tends not to be enough PDR work for a bodyshop to employ someone to do that type of work full time. YMMV.

That should be accessible from behind, as the rear speaker is pretty close to that dent.

Might even be diy-able using the football trick.

Bodyshop overheads are massive. I’m talking proper bodyshops, not Fred’s in sheds. They fill and paint stuff every day that they know full well a decent dent guy could get out, even bodyshops I visit do it. They only tend to call me out if they’re snowed under with work that week or there’s a dent they’ve missed on an adjacent blend panel after they’ve painted it or it’s a dealer car that needs a lot of refurb and the dealer has specifically asked for some of it to be done by the dent man and the worse panels filled and painted in which case it’s gets circled and marked in chalk with “DM”.

Some have even been known to get it done by a dent man then mop and polish it and tell the customer they filled and painted it and charge accordingly, although that is not something I have ever knowingly been involved in and I wouldn’t entertain it.

Thanks, I’ve messaged you.
