I've just removed a stick on number plate off of a wrap.

It's left a fair bit of glue residue on the wrap.

I put some WD40 on and gently agitated, but then backed out because I didn't know if it was actually a good idea.

Any help, advice, past good experience would be very welcome before I continue.

Thanks

Wd40 is ok, tar and glue remover or some petrol. (All quite safe to use).

Are any of those solvents likely to start dissolving the wrap or its adhesive?

It’s also brilliant for tree sap. Even stuff that’s been on their for a while and has hardened.

Unlikely but best to check with whoever applied the wrap.

Isopropanol Alcohol will remove most things but might damage the wrap if neat. I have read it works will diluted with water. If thats the case a simple thing to try might be surgical spirit which you can get for pennies from any chemist.
