My sons surf van was broken into today, nothing stolen, I suspect crack heads don’t know where to fence surfboards!
They have drilled 2 holes in the rear door, he’s gutted as it’s new to him and represented quite a chunk of cash.
Any advice on the best way to repair / sort?

What type van is it? I would think picking up a door from a breakers yard would be the easiest option.

Could happen again though? Almost tempting to put a sticker on (nothing of value stored inside/overnight).
Probably looking for the power tools. shoot

Almost certainly looking for power tools and there is no deterrent, if you cover it with a plate, they just rip the top of the sliding door off the hinges.

Maybe getting a glazed door could be better, they might look inside and see nothing so not bother

Buy an anti drill plate and just stick it over the hole. No need to replace the door

Look up armaplate and see if they do on that fits that vehicle and will be big enough to cover the holes.
Far less hassle and cheaper
