1K Stopper - am I doing it wrong?
Discussion
I do bits and bobs of body work here and there on my own cars, or small projects - colour coding mirror caps, that sort of stuff, but one thing that I've never been able to master is the use of stopper.
As with any prep, I always end up with small pin holes or very small dimples or divets that just need the tiniest of fills, way less than would justify mixing up some proper 2 part body filler.
I'll admit that as a home user far more aware of health concerns, I no longer use anty 2K paints other than an essential clear cloat here and there, outside, correct mask etc.
But for 99% of my work I'm a 1K guy which I appreciate has it drawbacks.
However, even after someone recommended Dophin Glaze, I'm still finding it shrinks and makes itse;lf known after the event meaning I've often got to go over stuff multiple times to eradicate the imperfection.
I've just about found a 1K spray high build primer that shouldn't be reported to trades descriptions for not 'building high' (Sunox Ultra Build, great despite cheap price) but this isn't enough for these tiny imperfections.
For the avoidance of doubt, I'm not daubing it on like filler, instead just the very lightest almost see-through smears with a palette knife or old credit card.
No matter how long I leave it to dry, with or without some heat assistance, 9 times out of 10 it bites me on the bum.
Is it me, or are there other higher performing products that sit between filler and high build that are not so shrinky and sensitive?

Normally in me heated garage, so anywhere between 18-20 degrees C, but I have the same challenge whether it's winter summer - it just seems to want to shrink and sink back and leave a trace outline of the area, despite trying various grit feathering etc. It reminds me of the days using celly - which I guess it kind of is in theory - i.e solvent based.
The industry must have a better solution these days?

No, I'm using the 1k version that does not use a hardener.
