WTF is wrong with people doing this to a parked car without leaving details frown

I've had a quote from a local-ish place, who did a phenomenal job for me previously, of £420. Which seems too expensive to me?

I'm in Berkshire

Doesn't sound a crazy retail price if it's the whole corner. I use Daniel at Spraytech # 07860633244 a couple of times a week and he'll give you an idea over Whattsapp. He's Berkshire based and mobile

Silly question probably, but have you tried polishing it out ? My wife's mate scraped her new car and did similar damage. Ten minutes work and she was left with a couple of small marks that could easily be touched in.

Probably someone in an SUV who doesn't even realise they've done it. Or, "rich Maserati driver can afford it more than I can afford my insurance to go up". It's not right but it's the way of the world. My old 3 Series got scraped a few times over the many years I had it and no one ever owned up.

I once worked for a large company who would always say to any damage it’s just cosmetic so won’t be repaired , or Chuck some bolts / gaffa tape on it .
Obviously the bolts arnt needed , but putting the damage down as Just cosmetic or even a bit of white gaffs tape could work ( save money ) .

This chap looks like he’s getting a pat on the back & a pass certificate for causing damage to someone else’s vechicle

Thanks to all who confirmed it was a reasonable price. I'd like to stick with the place that quoted as the work he did previously was exceptional.
