Just got back from visiting the shops and see a black mark on my grey synthetic leather seats (Nissan X-trail if it makes a difference) wipe it off and orange stain left behind.

Basically some flying rodent had managed to defecate on my sons back he sat in the car a 10 min journey home until I noticed and managed to clean.

I wiped it off with a wet kitchen towel and the orange splurge remains, tried a bit of automotive leather cleaner on it from Auto Glym, no real impact still the orange mark.

Anyone got any advice on how to shift it? Perils of a light interior I know, no one to blame just very annoyed.

Have you tried working the cleaner in with a nail brush, applied neat?

I’d keep doing it and see if it improves.

Is it actually leather or synthetic?

Synthetic and used the applicator sponge to aggravate but maybe a tooth brush is a good idea

Eta the toothbrush seemed to get inbthe pattern a bit better and maybe fade it, but maybe im just telling myself that…

A stiffer brush definitely helps (he says having spent all day deep cleaning the leather interior of our ‘new’ car which appears to have been lived in by tramps)

If it’s synthetic leather you could try a more aggressive cleaner, for example the Meguiars interior cleaner. It’s brilliant, you can pick it up from Halfords
