Remove scratches from exhaust / metal polisher?

I've got some light scratches on the tips of a stainless steel exhaust that I'm trying to get rid of. They aren't deep at all, no indent when running my finger over them. I've tried trusty Autosol with a microfibre cloth but after a few applications and some elbow grease they still remain.

Anything better on the market these days in terms of exhaust/metal polishes that will yield me better results? Or do I need to be using a different applicator?
