When I bought my car the rear of the seats where ripped and the dealer carried out a repair.

Now it looks like someone has spilt fizzy pop on the back of the seat and sometimes black sticky residue gets on people's hands if they touch it. Does anyone know what it is and how to remedy the problem?

I presume you have tried washing it with warm water and a mild detergent, and or leather cleaner?

I wanted to check on here with everyone before I did anything. I don't want to damage the repair they've done.

It may be that the repair has involved painting the area with trim paint.
I would suggest you take the car back & raise it with them before doing anything.
