Help me bodge a ding
Discussion
Hi,
I've managed to ding my old Range Rover. The damage isn’t substantial and I’d like to have a crack at repairing it myself. I’ve not attempted this sort of thing before so would appreciate any advice on the best way to proceed. Worst case there is a local chap who can ‘unfix’ my work if needs be. Picture below
Many thanks

Clean the area.
Don't do any sanding.
Don't put any primer on.
Just use the colour coat from a touchup kit.
Use a straightened out paper clip to apply the paint to the chip - & only to the chip.
It's a big chip but with a bit of luck it will take the 'eye' off it so at a casual glance it won't be so obvious.
If it really starts to bug you then as it's a Classic Range Rover (mine's a 1986) you should get away with just re-painting that part of the panel with a decent matching paint, it's a small area nicely boundaried by edges so blending out onto a large area isn't necessary.
