Hello all,

Minor lapse of judgement earlier when pulling into my drive and this was the outcome. Any ideas on rough cost?

Anywhere from £300 to £500.

Mobile Smart repair for the bumper corner maybe £200-250. Realigning the headlight with the bonnet and grille much more expensive I expect. Depends if headlight mountings have snapped off. May need new headlight, bonnet and grille to bring all that back in line.

Thank you for that. I just want to make sure that I don't get ripped off!

I think the damage is just solely on the bumper. I've, rather stupidly, scraped the wall as I was turning onto my drive so was going no more than 2ish mph.

I would say 300 to 400 from my experience.

My usual price for bumpers at a very good independant paint shop is £300 if I drop them down with all plastics etc. removed.

Agree that £300 - £500 is about right for a decent job with the difference being if you take it off and strip it down or if they do.

I'd concur at £300 to £500 for a full bumper respray.

Try round a few and also try to get some local recommendations off friends and family.

I'd a back bumper and a rear wheel arch that needed painted on my Golf and i got a quote off three local bodyshops -

A friend of mine who i've used for bodywork for 30+ years - £550.

Another recommended body man - £500.

Another recommended body man (who had painted the bonnet and wing of the Golf for the previous owner and had done a brilliant job) - £360.

Having got the car back now and having had an exceptional job done on it, i'm not sure what spending £190 more would have achieved.
