Any advice on if this is repairable or will need a full bonnet respray? Size is roughly 3” from left to right. Paint removed from pressure washer when cleaning it. (Potentially expensive) lesson learnt.

Follow up question would be how much? Audi Navarra Blue so readily available paint. I’ve already bought a touch up pen but think I’m grasping with that as it’s far too big.

Thanks all.

You can’t really touch that in without it looking terrible.

But I’m guessing it’s had a poor repair/repaint before as factory paint should not do that.

The paint finish does look a little shonky so guessing a poor repair, although a friend did similar to a brand new Disco 2!

Full bonnet respray.
Be best to go back to bare metal to reduce the chance of any adhesion issues between the old paint & the new.

Point blank with pressure washers is never a good idea on paintwork, all it needs is a reasonable sized stonechip & the pressure can remove clearcoat or topcoat surprisingly easily. Done that with my own car!
I always suggested no nearer than a metre to paintwork.

I've mentioned elsewhere problems with BMW motorbike front wheel bearing being trashed by using pressure washers at too close a range which forced the water past the seal & into the bearings.
