De-icer in carpet
Discussion
In a moment of kindness/stupidity, I lent my Alpina to my ex-wife. She has thanked me by having it scratched during her care (not while driving, so st happens), and has emptied a full bottle of demon de-icer over the alpina mat in the rear footwell. Again, perhaps not her fault as she didn’t open the bottle and pour it out, but she left the bottle there, and clearly not very well tightened up.
To the point. How do I get 750ml or so of de-icer out of the mats and underlying carpet? I have soaked up as much as I can with kitchen paper but it’s soaked right into the carpet. The mats are stood up so that most of it will hopefully drip out. Then I guess hose them down?
Then I can get the scratches sorted…
Many thanks PH
