Cleaning products for ceramic coated cars
Discussion
Probably been asked a million times but my cars seem to lose their beading after a few months and I'm wondering what I am doing wrong.
I used PH neutral snow foam (Gyeon) and PH neutral shampoo (again Gyeon), but the snow foam just doesn't dwell very well and runs off the car too quickly. I also use a DI vessel to rinse the car down.
Every few months I go through a maintenance wash with several other products which does bring the beading back.
So a few questions really.
1. What's the best PH/ceramic friendly snow foam and shampoo?
2. Do I need a pre-wash (again ceramic friendly) and if so which one?

The loss of beading is inevitable. Eventually just dust settling on the car will reduce the beading effect.
Many of the products which purport to rejuvenate ceramic coatings are doing nothing more than removing that fine surface contamination.
The neutral pH foams don't seem to cling as well, I've not found one which completes on that count with the more aggressive foams. On a properly ceramic coated car it shows the coating is doing its job to some extent.
However, you can increase the dwell time by adding something which does foam well (Bilt Hamber Auto Foam for me, not pH neutral but is non caustic), adding a 10% mix to my pH neutral foam makes a big difference in my relatively soft water area. You might need more, but it won't have any effect on a ceramic coating for the 5 minutes it is on.
