Ive 'dented' my front bumper against a concrete wall, its about 6 cm and the plastic that should be siting flush is now inside the wheel arch and the paint is split. ( Will get photos when its light) , Would a hot air gun reshape it, then Id have to respray it?

Generally heating the bumper up will help it reform but it will need a bit of paint after.

Assuming it's not broken any clips/ supporting metal bodywork which are now holding it into the arch area.

I've reshaped a lot of plastic bumper dents where the paint is undamaged heating the area with infrared lamps.
Helps if you can get your hand behind & push.
Some come out of their own accord, but most need a little help.
Obviously if the paint is damaged, once you've got the shape back then prep as required & paint.

If using a hot air gun be careful, it's very easy to get it too hot very quickly & damage the paint or the plastic.
