hi everybody. Looking for a recommendation for some harmless remedy that removes white car polish residue that is stuck in hard to reach places.

Someone who had my car before me (long ago now) has done a terrible job of polishing it and whilst I have got most of it off I can see some in parts of the door shuts (and other places) which I can't reach with a rag.

Is there any sort of spray like back 2 black or whatever which people have used successfully for getting rid of polish residue that's stuck in tight places?

Wrap a microfibre soaked in vinegar around the handle of a pastry brush or similar.

Alternatively spray with some wheel cleaner and pressure wash.

Cheers,

Chris

Angelwax Stripped Ease for general wax / coating removal.

I did get another potion for wax remnant removal, but I can't remember what that's called now - Haven't used it yet either (Isn't that the way? biggrin )

Most useful option though,
If you grab a can of Soft99 "Authentic Premium": https://soft99store.co.uk/en/home/132-authentic-pr...

It comes with a very handy tool built into the can that is perfect for removing wax from panel lines and crevices - I'm amazed they don't sell them separately.
(Also doubly odd, as Authentic Premium is a very nice easy on / easy off natural wax - It's Soft99 Fusso coat that is a nightmare to get out of gaps!)

So does Soft99 dry clear? Some waxes don't and you're having to watch where you put it. Will it convert white residue to clear or would I be wholly reliant on the tool to clear the white stuff beforehand? I can reach some of it with a dry paint brush but it only gets the easy stuff. Where it is really deep the paint brush can't seem to shift it.

Car glass cleaner and a brush of some kind. For me there's the reassurance that it is designed to come into contact with car paint.
