I’ve had windscreen PPF applied to my GT4 however I’m having various issue with it. The main issue being visibility, it’s just not as sharp, I’d liken it to having a few drinks. I’m also experiencing bad vision at night with oncoming traffic lights making it really hard to see!

Has anyone else’s had their windscreen PPF’d - would be great to hear your views and feedback.

Thanks.

Interesting subject.

My understanding is that there is a 3M product, and the latest is STEK. Do you know which one was used?

I've replaced several windscreens (all on high performance cars) which had the protective film on them. All had cracks which had started from stonechips. In short, the protective film will not prevent this from happening but will lessen the chances of such damage. I would be interested to see what the manufacturers say about protection against pitting.

In a racing/track environment, several sheets are applied.

A couple of months ago one of the 'screens I replaced was on a car of someone in the public eye who does a lot of miles in the cars he has. He doesn't like the film, and when I first read your post I thought you were him as he said almost exactly the same as you.
